Our Commitment to Your Safety
Secure ID Redactor is built with privacy by design. Passport and ID images often contain highly sensitive personal information, and protecting that data is our highest priority.
Unlike many online tools, we do not send your images to any server. Everything runs locally in your browser for maximum confidentiality.
1. Local, In-Browser Processing
- Your passport or ID image never leaves your device.
- Redaction (blur, pixelate, blackout) is done using client-side JavaScript.
- Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, shared or stored on our servers.
This approach eliminates entire categories of risks such as server breaches, cloud exposure, or unauthorized access.
2. No Accounts & No Personal Data Required
- We do not ask for your name, passport number or any personal info.
- No login, sign-up, or registration required.
- No data stored about your documents.
3. Encrypted HTTPS Connection
All pages run over HTTPS, ensuring:
- Traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted.
- No data can be intercepted during page load.
4. No Hidden Uploads or Background Transfers
- No background requests sending images anywhere.
- No “silent” cloud processing.
- No server-side rendering of your document.
All editing happens in a transparent, auditable way.
5. Safe by Default
- Default settings avoid accidental sharing.
- No auto-save to any cloud service.
- Downloads occur only when you click “Download”.
6. Protection Against Identity Theft
Passport pages expose full names, dates of birth, document numbers, MRZ lines, nationality, signatures and sometimes addresses.
Our tool helps you:
- Hide passport numbers & MRZ.
- Blur ID card numbers & addresses.
- Protect children’s personal data.
- Block sensitive visa or immigration information.
7. Independent Device Security
While we protect processing on our side, your device environment matters too.
We recommend:
- Using up-to-date browsers.
- Running antivirus & anti-malware.
- Disabling unknown browser extensions.
- Avoiding public Wi-Fi when working with documents.
